Carlisle Enterprises introduces your fully guided GPS Audio Food&Wine Tour of the Barossa Valley. Using the GPS in the iPhone or iPad 3G, audio and pictures will trigger at set locations to provide your own personal tour guide for the Barossa region in South Australia.

The tour highlights the many unique experiences you can expect to enjoy on a visit to the Barossa, as well as supporting turn-by-turn instructions for the entire touring route. It also answers the question so often asked by motoring tourists, "I wonder whats at the end of that dirt road?" It not only takes you safely to the end of the dirt road and back, but will allow you to make discoveries that may have remained hidden without the reassurance and information that our product delivers.

You will hear personal welcome messages from two "heroes" of the Barossa, legendary winemaker, Wolf Blass and the doyenne of local cuisine, Maggie Beer.

Other food and wine icons from the region are also heard in interviews which are featured throughout the audio commentary. As well, youll find tasting tips to help you gain maximum enjoyment from your cellar door experiences, along with informative and entertaining background notes on the places we pass along the trail.

The app is optimised to support the MetroView Turn-By-Turn navigation app, available separately in the app store. MetroView does not require an internet connection. All map data is stored locally in the device. MetroView is Australia’s number 1 navigation app for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. High quality, Australian accented spoken instructions will guide you through the Tour of the Barossa Valley. Once the tour is complete, MetroView will also provide you with an ongoing detailed Australia wide navigation solution with no ongoing costs.

The app includes a Google Maps view. This function will serve as a guide only to provide a visual indication of the next tour waypoint. Google Maps requires a continual internet connection and associated data costs will apply.
